Dr. Tony Hamer, Chairman

Tony Hamer is recognized as one of world’s foremost visionaries in the Chemical and Gas Processing industries. He has an established reputation in the development of profitable growth for companies via experienced based development and implementation of high value alternatives. He is currently CEO & President of Growth, Strategy,& Innovation, LLC and President of Memory Lanes Classic Cars. In addition to leading Synovum’s Board of Advisors, Tony is also a Member of the Dean’s Leadership Council at Purdue University and a Senior Advisor for Northwest Innovation works. In the past he has held senior executive or advisory roles for Arthur D. Little, Decision Strategies, Exxon Chemicals, Gas Research Institute, Guidance Aviation, Stratley AG, Monitor Group, Olin Corporation, The Sinclair Group, and Union Carbide.

A trusted advisor to many CXO’s, Tony’s career includes many accomplishments in the chemical manufacturing sector, such as the development of 10 patents and more than 150 public speaking events. He earned his PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Purdue University and his BSc Chemistry at the University of Reading. Tony was recently recognized by receiving the Distinguished Alumni Award from Purdue University.
